OUR BACKGROUND

Green Dry started with a group of experts who had experienced challenges in finding the right moisture absorption solution that could effectively reduce damage to precious cargo from water-related issues. Our mission is to provide an industry-leading solution and yet keeps a green environment in the core of the design.

Pulling together invaluable knowledge across different industries such as material safety handling, logistics, sourcing and factory inspection, Green Dry has been designed to prevent rust, mould and dampness.

WHY GREEN DRY DESICCANTS

Approximately 6% of cargo shipped worldwide is affected by moisture-related issues. In the past desiccants with clay or silica content were used to reduce the risk with limited success.

Clay or Silica Gel don't have the adsorption capacity to reduce the moisture content in the air sufficiently to make an impact.

Calcium Chloride desiccants were introduced because it is highly soluble in water and can adsorb of up to 300% of its own weight.

In the last decade, companies have switched to CaCl2 desiccants because of the high adsorption capacity especially commodities like coffee, rice, cocoa, and nuts which contain naturally a lot of water and are easily affected by water old mold issues.

As a matter of fact, Cocoa shipments will be only insured if Calcium Chloride Desiccant is used.

But other industries like the apparel and textile sector are commonly using our desiccants as well and the list goes on.
